In today's society, mind, body and spiritual exercise is becoming increasingly popular. The Dungarvan area of Waterford offers all of this and more. Yoga is one such exercise which offers many advantages to young and old. It allows you to tone and detoxify your body, gives flexibility and strength, improves your posture and breathing and teaches you how to destress and meditate.

Mary Hayes has been teaching yoga in the Dungarvan area for the past four years. The form that Mary teaches is Iyengar Yoga. In Iyengar yoga we focus on asanas (postures). Correct body alignment allows the body to develop harmoniously so that the student suffers no injury or pain when practising correctly. Mary has qualified with the Marie Quail Yoga Therapy and Training Center and specialised in Yoga for Pregnancy with Birthlight. Birthlight is an educational charity that promotes an integrated holistic approach to pregnancy, birth and babyhood.
