The Picture
of Dorian Gray
Dorian Gray’s portrait decomposes in the attic while the man himself remains the picture of innocence and lives the life of Riley...Is this rich Wilde world where the currency is youth and people are as disposable as your income, so very far from our own of celebrity culture, rampant consumerism and Botox? March 14
A Knife at the Opera
A Most Murderous Musical Mystery! An entertaining and enjoyable night for audiences is in store with this new, funny, feel good show, which combines music, great singing, comedy and mystery. Critics through the ages have often murdered a diva’s performance through the power of a pen, but now it's time for the divas to get their revenge!... or is it justice? Join singing Detective Inspector Gethin Gumshoe as he delves into the operatic underworld to find out WHODUNIT! A Knife At The Opera gently pokes fun at critics, performers, detectives and anyone else who takes themselves too seriously, including the show's principal performer, the critically acclaimed virtuosic mezzo soprano and actress Buddug Verona James. The comic story is intertwined with seven arias by Handel, Mozart, Rossini, Bizet, Tom Johnson and Andrew Wilson-Dickson. 8pm. Tickets e12.50. Bookings: 051 874402. March 20 to 25
Dirty Dusting
By Ed Waugh and Trevor Wood. Starring Adèle King (Twink), Joan O’Hara (Fair City), Eileen Colgan and Steve Blount. A trio of 70-something hard-working cleaners are facing the axe. They might be past their best, beyond their sell-by date and over the hill but they certainly won’t take threats of redundancy lying down. These game ‘girls’ set up a phone sex service, known as “The Telephone Belles”, and that’s when the fun really begins. Their bosses don’t know about it, their families would never guess and their very willing customers are none the wiser. They’re the only chat-line girls with dusters, attitude and their very own bus passes! 8pm (Mon-Thurs); 8.30pm (Fri & Sat). Tickets from e15, Group bookings available. Bookings: 051 874402.
