Frongoch
Easter 1916: 1800 Irish volunteers are imprisoned in the Frongoch POW Camp in the heart of Welsh-speaking North Wales. With internees such as Michael Collins, Tomás MacCurtain and Terence McSweeney, it proved to be a hotbed of nationalist ferment. Prior to the Pope¹s visit to Limerick and a local sacristan, Batty Spender, is left alone in his kitchen with only the voices in his head to keep him company. His crisis stems from the things he has seen in his village and the church, making him question his position.
