Kube was founded in 2001 when all four members graduated from Dun Laoghaire
Institute of Art, Design & Technology. This cosmopolitan group includes
Iseult O’Flynn, print-maker, and three painters, Chris Atkins, Megan
O’Beirne and Ruth Lockhart. Their artistic concerns include nature’s
historic face, transcendence, memory, and the ambiguity of human experience

remains of her dignity and begins a humorous and uplifting voyage of

Happy Land Far Away
The Cathy Sharp Dance Ensemble of Switzerland presents another exciting new
mixed-bill of modern dance on its fifth Irish tour. Out of White, the
exquisitely-crafted choreographic work by Dutch choreographer Regina van
Berkel, with the beautiful music of Kevin Volans, will open the evening.
Artistic Director Cathy Sharp then presents her own exciting and critically
acclaimed dramatic dance work, Happy Land Far Away, set to the musical
masterpiece Celtic Requiem by John Tavener. The final piece, Just For Fun,

Cork Chamber Orchestra
Leader-Adrian Petcu, Organist-Colin Nicholls, Soloist -Emma Neal, Bassoon.
Music by Handel, Mendelssohn, Mozart and Poulenc. Emma Neal is soloist in
Mozart’s Bassoon Concerto and Colin Nicholls will perform Poulenc’s famous

Organ Recital
Raymond O’Donnell, organist and director of music at Galway Cathedral. Music
by Pierre du Mage, J.S. Bach, Herbert Howells and Alexandre Guilmant. 6pm,

International Women’s day concert
Celebrate International Women’s Day at Garter Lane with wine, women and
song! The evening starts with the opening of Going to Earth, a exhibition of
women artists, Kube, followed by songs from the shows and cabaret items
performed by top Welsh singers, Catrin Darnell and Kate Lotes. Lynn Saoirse,
Waterford based harpist will also perform traditional Irish airs and tunes
that celebrate womenhood. 8pm, tickets: €10 (€7 conc), Friends of Garter

St Patricks Celebration
The Waterford branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann presents a musical
celebration of our national feast day. With Billy O’Brien, winner of the All
Ireland Under 12 Fleadh Cheoil for fiddle, John ‘The Miller’ Power, winner
of All Ireland Traditional Singing Competition, and The Stradbally Fenor

Over The Rainbow
Over the Rainbow traces the life of the legendary artist, Eva Cassidy
through words and music. Before she died at the tender age of 33, she was
unknown, but within 2 years, her haunting interpretation of “Somewhere over
the Rainbow” was top of the album charts. A talented cast of actors and
musicians recreate her original arrangements and recordings. 8pm, tickets:
