‘A Picture Tells a Thousand Words in Quiet Voice’
An exhibition by Jackie Morris. “Until a painting is looked
at by
someone it lies sleeping, waiting to be seen. Each person brings to
that painting their own story, their own dreaming and by looking they
bring the painting to life. Each person, if touched in some way by
the picture, carries away something of it in their mind, taking it
on
to a new dreaming, a new journey. So now the painting lives outside
the frame.” Garter Lane Arts Centre, 5 O’Connell St.

Cosi Fan Tutte
By Mozart, sung in English. A Theatre Royal & Co-Opera Production.
It
starts out as a game; two young men accept a bet that their lovers
will remain faithful no matter what. Pretending that they been called
away on military service, they re-appear as glamorous foreigners and
attempt to seduce each other’s girl. Things don’t work
out as
planned. Beneath the surface humour of a comedy of manners, darker
undertones emerge. Will the two couples get back together? And if
they do, can things ever be the same again? 8pm. Tickets e20 &
e18.

Dublin, Kavanagh the farmer’s son from impoverished County Monaghan,
childhoods that honed their respective talents as playwright and
poet. 8pm. Tickets e15. Bookings: 051 874402. Theatre Royal, The Mall.

Wuthering Heights
Ghost story, love story and revenger’s tragedy, Wuthering Heights

terrifying story of love and obsession in a strange, savage world
where the line between the natural and the supernatural, the present
and the past is no more than notional. Evening & Matinees. Tickets
from e14. Bookings/details: 051 874402. Theatre Royal, The Mall.
