The National Youth Orchestra of Scotland is the flagship orchestra of NYOS. Founded in 1979, it is a symphony orchestra for musicians aged between 12 and 21 who perform frequently in high profile venues throughout the world.
The musicians in the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland are of the highest calibre and many past students, including Dame Evelyn Glennie, Colin Currie, Garry Walker, Nicola Benedetti and Karen Geoghegan, have gone on to enjoy hugely successful careers.

Programme: "Six Pieces op 6" (Anton Webern), "Three Fragments from the Opera 'Wozzeck'" (Alban Berg) & "Symphony No 5 in c-sharp minor" (Gustav Mahler).
