The Midnight Court (Cuirt and Mhean Oiche)
Translated by David marcus and set to music by one of Ireland¹s foremost musician, Sean Tyrrell. This adaptation of Brian Merriman¹s classic poem, about the war between the sexes celebrating the rights of women to wholesome sex and wholesome marriage. It is one of the few works ever to bring together the wealth of Ireland¹s traditional and folk music with one of its greats.

Someone to Watch Over Me
Andrew Flynn¹s production of Frank McGuinness¹ hostage dama features top notch performances by the cast of three Diarmuid de Faoite, Rod Goodall and Paul Roe. Based on the story of Brian Keenan, the play explores the shift in relationships of three hostages as they try to cope with their plight. Their survival strategies include game playing and storytelling anything to forget the grimness of their predicament. These generate plenty of laughter along with the darkness and anguish.
Belltable, 8pm, eu16, eu13 (conc.)

September 22 to 24
Laundry & Bourbon and Lonestar
Dublin based DeSelbyCodex and All About Eve present a double bill of two one-act comedies: "Laundry & Bourbon" and "Lonestar" by American playwright James McLure. Beautifully contrasted from the oppressive heat of the Texan Evening in Laundry & Bourbon to the crispness of its desert night in Lonestar. 'Staged as entertainingly as here, the payoff is at least enjoyment' Gerry Colgan, Irish Times.

Love in the Title
With his customary wit, sensitivity and fierce intelligence, award-winning playwright Hugh Leonard takes us on a fascinating journey to County Limerick, 1999. One magical afternoon in the fields of Corcamore, free-spirited Katie, 37, arrives to paint Clough-a-Regan, the legendary standing stone. As she sits, the fabric of time shifts, and she is joined by younger incarnations of her mother, and grandmother. As the day unfolds, the three women begin to talk to each other about their lives and loves. Through their intensely personal stories, a portrait of a family, a country and a century takes shape.
