The Year of the Golden Pig
This exhibition of Contemporary Chinese Art is curated from the
collection of Swiss businessman and diplomat Dr. Uli Sigg. The former
Swiss ambassador to China, Dr. Sigg’s collection includes historic
works of Chinese avant-garde art from the 1980s and early 90s. All
the leading positions and important trends are represented by major
works, many of which have now achieved iconic status in the Chinese
art world. The result of this systematic approach is a collection of
contemporary Chinese art that is unparalleled in terms of its scope

53rd Cork International Choral Festival
Featuring a host of events around Cork city. Highlights include The
Swingle Singers, Ethnic Voices Concert, Evocations with The Calmus

monthly bike ride round town celebrating community and the virtues of

June 2
Ocean to City Rowing Race
This rowing race starts in Crosshaven at 12.30pm and this year the
race finishes in the Boardwalk, City Quarter Lapps Quay and this will
create a festival and family atmosphere. Entertainment will be
provided by "Banana Boat" A Polish band who will also be performing
at the Cobh Maritime Song Festival. Another 1st at this years race
will be the attendance of a French Market offering a wide range of
French Foods and Products adding a cosmopolitan touch to this Bank
Holiday weekend of sport. Don’t miss the exciting finish of
traditional racing currachs and their crews from 2.30pm to 4.30pm
