ŠtouchedŠ
By Ursula Rani Sarma. Buried alive in their sad, sozzled uncle¹s
rural pub in the ³crotch of the country², Cora and Mickey
still barely more than children are determined to escape.
Particularly as Cora has a secret, one she has been harbouring ever
since the day of her tenth birthday, when the local doctor took her
to the beach for raspberry-ripple ice cream. Ursula Rani Sarma¹s
play is fast, furious, meltingly lyrical and full of physical poetry
as it deftly transports us from city to country and back again, and
from harsh memories to even harsher realities in Dublin on New Year¹s
Eve 1999. 8pm (no show on Sunday), tickets: f18/13. Box Office: 4501673.

Once upon a Barstool
Written and performed by Felix Nobis. A poetic monologue of epic proportions.
Following four generations of one family through their migrations

a family and a cultural heritage alive. Once Upon A Barstool returns
to Cork after a sell-out run in January at the Cork Fringe Festival.

Stitching
By Anthony Neilson. ŒWe will fix it. We will mend itй

Can it be mended? 9pm (no show on Sunday), tickets: f18/13. Box Office:

Losing Steam
By Ray Scannell. Commissioned by Corcadorca, Scannell¹s script
is based on the closure of the Fords and Dunlops plants in Cork in
the early eighties. As the two largest employers of that time, their
closing had a devastating effect on the city. Losing Steam centres
on two families caught up in this economic crisis on different levels,
and portrays the effect it had on their lives. Using the vibrant live
music scene of the time as a backdrop, it cleverly reflects the atmosphere
that prevailed in the city. 8.30pm (no show on Sunday), Previews 15th
