By Will McGoldrick.This body of work covers a cross section of work
stretching over the past 15 years. It brings together 35mm Black and
White images, with more recent Digital abstract and landscape images.

We must Follow The Circle
Artists: Valerie Gleeson, Sarah Iremonger, Leo McCann and Maureen
O'Connor. ‘We Must Follow the Circle’ is an attempt to represent and
interpret the diverse activity at Backwater Artists Group. Although
the painting, photography, sculpture, and video presented in this
exhibition have been produced in relative isolation, a common thread

Woyzeck
part of cork midsummer festival
Woyzeck, by Georg Buchner, is a powerful and intense drama about a
sailor struggling to hold on to his humanity and sanity as his life
spirals out of control. Corcadorca has typically chosen a fitting
location to stage this show – the Naval Base on Haulbowline Island.
Starting at the water’s edge as darkness falls, Woyzeck will be a
promenade production moving around various historic and impressive

Disco Pigs
Written by Enda Walsh, directed by Tony McCleane-Fay. Described as
‘an Irish Clockwork Orange’, Disco Pigs is the story of Pig and Runt
who have been inseparable since birth. Needing no one else, they
reign over their own world, creating their own language and rules and
carving their way through Cork in a reckless pursuit of pleasure. But
on the eve of their 17th birthday, their world begins to
disintegrate. Runt begins to see there might be more to life, but
Pig’s unpredictable nature begins to spiral out of control in a trail

Frank Pig says Hello
Written by Patrick McCabe, based on his novel The Butcher Boy,
directed by Brian Desmond. The story focuses on the character of
Francie Brady - referred to in most of the play as Piglet - a
troubled boy struggling to come to terms with himself, his family and
ultimately, his entire surroundings. With his father in and out of
the pub, and his mother in and out for treatment, Piglet is forced to

The Decorator
By Donald Churchill’s hilarious comedy, The Decorator with an All
Star Cast led by Eastenders’ icon-‘Dirty Den’ alias Leslie Grantham

surprise visitor, Jane, the wife of the man with whom Marcia is
having an affair, who has come to take her revenge by informing
Marcia’s husband of his wife’s infidelity. Marcia is at her wits end
until she has a brilliant idea. It seems her house painter is a part-
time professional actor. Marcia hires him to impersonate her husband
Reggie and the big confrontation later that day when the wronged wife
plans to return and spill the beans- from then on hilarity piles on

crash, Julia is visited by Margaret, who apparently knows nothing of
the affair. Events take a sinister turn when Margaret begins to
encroach on Julia’s life, engineering Julia’s dismissal of her home
help, Gary, and her councellor, Anne. Left alone in the house
