Rose
By Martin Sherman. Rose, played by Fiona York, is a survivor. Her
remarkable life began in a tiny Russian village, took her to Warsaw’s
ghettos and a ship called ‘The Exodus’ and finally to
the boardwalks
of Atlantic City, the Arizona canyons and salsa-flavoured nights in
Miami Beach. The play is both a sharply drawn portrait of a feisty
Jewish woman and a moving reminder of some of the events that shaped
the last century. 8pm (Jun 30). Tickets: f10/8. Booking: 1890 200

By Edward Malone. A one-man show, The Tragedy is a darkly comic,
highly energetic, autobiographical tale eccentrically performed by

12 Angry Men
Over the course of a steamy and tense afternoon, twelve jurors
deliberate the fate of a 19 year-old boy alleged to have murdered
his
own father. A guilty verdict seems a foregone conclusion, but one
member of the jury has the will to probe more deeply into the
evidence and the courage to confront some of his fellow jurors. A
seemingly open and shut case turns complicated, igniting passions
and
hidden prejudice which cut straight to the heart of the issues of
civil liberties and social justice. When faced with playing the
hangman, each juror is ultimately forced to face himself. 8pm.
